I thought the blog members might enjoy these quotes from Roger Bannister, since our focus seems to be on shorter distances, such as the 400 meters (Greg) to the mile (Mark and Eric). I personally like the first one the best. Interestingly, I played French Horn in high school, and dabbled with the cello.
