Sheldon and Moinbo Coming To Millrose! Frank W. Might Come Too.

Former SUNY-B XC team captain and running legend, Sheldon Melnitsky, a 1975 graduate will be attending the Millrose games as part of the SUNY-B contingent.  Joining him will be 1976 graduate, teammate, Dave Moin, more commonly known as Moinbo.  Sheldon hopes that fellow 1975 graduate and teammate Frank Waltzer will also be attending.  Saying anything more at this point would only diminish the significance of this announcement.

I met Sheldon once at least, the summer we lived at 14 1/2 Roosevelt. Frequently during that summer, Eric would out of nowhere sigh and say "I miss Sheldon." Then one day, we were walking near the house, and I think Eric had recently said "I miss Sheldon" when Sheldon appeared! He was apparently living nearby, and I think Eric knew nothing about it! Maybe Eric did this to trick me, but I'm not sure.........

I don't think I've met "Moinbo" but I might have met Frank at the Gary Truce 5K a couple years ago. Was that Frank? I remember he was a quarter miler in college.

Frank was at the XC reunion on campus in Fall 2005. I don't think Frank was a 1/4 miler--but he'll be able to tell us.

I think the Sheldon popping out of nowhere incident is a fictional event. But maybe Sheldon will be able to comment on that. I don't see why Sheldon would have been living nearby since he was in law school at SUNY-A.

No, it was not fictional......I distinctly remember it, and I hope Sheldon does also. We were within a block or two of 14 1/2 Roosevelt that summer, when we ran into Sheldon. I think he had a beard.......maybe he was visiting friends? I also remember you saying "I miss Jose." After Jose Ramirez (the soccer player and a friend of mine) moved out.

Where is Jose?

I have no idea where Jose is? Joe Loverro is a chiropractor in Owego, as far as I know. We know where the Fusc is, and where you and I are. But where is Bob Wiegel?

Bob Weigel (note the correct spelling) is, alive, well, and practicing law in New York. I'll be seeing Bob the day after the Millrose games.
