From deep inside the virtual world headquarters of the revitalized Dr. K. Striders running club, we bring you this announcement...
On Friday, 1 February 2008, with a starting time TBD, but that will probably be around 2:00 P.M., a new annual running event will be launched. The run, unnamed as of yet (suggestions please) will begin at the Milford Plaza Hotel, in Manhattan, NY, proceed to Central Park, where one lap of Central Park will be covered, and terminate at the starting line. This event is being held to coincide with the Millrose Games.

How about: The First Annual Dr. K Striders Kevin Q. Spoon Millrose Games Memorial Run? (in memory of Spoon).
I love the idea of honoring Spoon and I'd like to keep the focus on Spoon.
We could go simply go with calling this the Spoon Memorial Run. If we want to work the Dr. K. Striders into this, we could give the Striders credit for hosting the event. This gives us the opportunity to allow other organizations to host the event in the future.
Another point, do we want to work Spoon's real name into this, or do we pay him even more respect by keeping it simple.
I think we need Sheldon to weigh in on this and maybe he can get in touch with Moinbo and get his opinion too.
