I was searching around to find something on Dave Bailey to prove his existence and stumbled across this link, which claims to be an all time roster of the the Binghamton University X-Country Team. That Dave Bailey isn't on there is not shocking (I think he only ran track), but I'm not on there (Okay maybe that's not too shocking), but Kevin "Spoon" McCarthy is not on there, Paul Horn is not on there, and, GASP(!) our own Dr. K is not on there! Now that's shocking.
Bob Nigro is on there. Kevin Hardwick, The Fusc, and the Raybucks are on there. Rick Banke, Tony Banks, Dave Cody, Bob Daniels, John Luther, Sheldon Melnitsky, Rob Neenan (rode through his hometown on the FANY.), Mark Peters, Jim Graham, Matt Williams, Frank Waltzer, Gary Wallace. Where's Bill Schmidt? Who was the guy with the long straight hair and beard? What about Chris Cody?

Wow! Having just thought of Bob Daniels for the first time in a bazillion years: http://manningleaver.com/attorneys/robert-d-daniels
"Hello is Debbie Defuvio there?"
How is this going to get fixed?
I've tried to contact with Bob Daniels but have not received a reply. Perhaps someone else needs to try.
Chris:
The list is also missing Bill McMullen, Jeff Hoff, John Reid, Gary Martinkovic, Bill Morrisey, and good old Tony Sykes. A travesty indeed.
Rob Neenan
Rob Neenan!!
I rode through Bloomfield on the FANY this year. I don't think we passed your home; at least I didn't recognize it.
When we crossed the town boundary I serenaded my wife with a rousing rendition of the Lone Star Bar and Grill song! I remember all the words, but they are best not shared in any forum where a permanent record will remain.
Bill Morrisey, that's the name I was trying to remember. Bill McMullen and Jeff Hoff yes! I've been in Brockport a couple of times and so thought of John Reid. I think of Tony Sykes whenever I drive through Barre, VT. Gary Martinkovic, yep.
As far as fixing, I think it's and old and dead end list.
Chris
I found another page with results and more Olde Tyme roster information:

Maybe someone remembers the results. There are even fewer names on the roster. No Raybucks and No Neenan!
They don't list the record for fastest time while the theme from Rocky was being blasted from Smith Hall.
Rob Neenan (former Freshman Sensation), thanks for sharing, and let us know if you want to be an author to post blogs! We need more authors!
Bill Morrisey is likely the one with the long hair.
I also remember being in the meet where Rocky was blaring from Smith Hall.
As you can tell, Big Time Division I Binghamton is relatively unconcerned about accurate records of the classic 60s and 70s runners. Too bad! We were the best, if not in times, in personality!
I have Bill McMullen's email. Last correspondence I had from him, he was running less and rowing more (rowing machine). I will never forget Bill, riding in the back of his van on my way to the Maryland Marathon after an exhausting 13 meet season my freshman year, then getting talked into a marathon a week or two after the season!
Chris:
If you rode through Bloomfield on Rts 5&20 you were close to my old home. My wife and I live in Sacramento, California.
It's good to hear from you and I hope you are doing well. I'm not good at the blog/twitter thing, but my e-mail address is robneenan1@comcast.net. Drop me a line.
Mark:
I'm not much a a blogger, but I am glad to hear that some of the old SUNY gang is still running and/or active.
I thought later that Fred Lazare is also missing from that list, and he was a good guy.
