Yes, it's true. Frank Waltzer told me so himself. In fact, Frank already has the tickets for Sheldon, Moinbo, Wallace, and himself.
Wow! Gary Wallace is a SUNY-B legend running legend. With the excitement that is building, let's hope that we can get some more entries for the Spoon Memorial Run. So far, there are only two confirmed entries: Mark and Eric.

Wow! News indeed!! But there is a downside to this. If he is still running at all, and enters the Spoon Memorial run, will he enter the 50 and older division, or the open division? If the open, then I'll likely only place 2nd (or last) in that division, or if he chooses 50 and over, well, then, Eric may lose that age group!
It would be an honor to lose to Wallace again. Anyway, given that he is a Dr. K. Strider, I don't see it as a big deal. That's what being on a team is about.
For those that don't remember, the year that the Striders went to Utica and won the big summer road race, Wallace was a key part of that effort. Mark Peters wasn't happy about it, but, his protests were ignored and the Striders won. If there was a team trophy, I don't have it. I probably gave it Wallace.
Also, keep in mind that by now, Wallace is closer to 60 than 50, so he might even be in his own age group if he chooses to do so rather than running Open.
I think it was Tom Carter that we "hired" to run for the Striders in the Utica Boilermaker 10 miler. I certainly remember the arguments with Mark Peters, though! Do I remember wrongly? Maybe it was Wallace. They were both fast and older than us. As an interesting sidenote, wasn't it Mark Peters club (the Boilermakers) that staged that race? Now it is a very large, international race (shortened to a 15K) that attracts world-class runners, has prize money, the works. Usually the top few slots are Kenyans!
